"Great microphones! I've not heard anything else on acoustic guitar having such a smooth high end but still lots of body. We did use an ELUX 251 on one track as an additional mic, but on other tracks the 69 was the only mic used on acoustic and it sounded great.
My fav mic on overheads is the Royer SF-12, but it always needs a bit of high shelving (4 K and up) to bring out the sparkle in the cymbals. The 69 didn't need any EQ and we were still able to get a nice even stereo picture with the mics placed fairly far apart, looking into the kit.
